Quantity Surveyor

Intermediate Quantity Surveyor required to join our growing team immediately. Successfully candidate will fill the quantity surveying role in our commercial projects division. The commercial projects division cover energy upgrades under county council frameworks, home energy fitouts for main contractors and public building energy upgrades.

This is an exciting opportunity in a growing firm with plans to expand  our reach further across the country and into new sectors of the market should as  the one stop shop program.

The successful candidate will be responsible for tendering projects, procuring subcontractor and supplier packages, agreeing variations, monthly reporting and liaising with client teams.

The successful candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in construction financial management, be driven and well-organized.

Applicants should have a third level degree in quantity surveying or construction economics. Experience in energy retrofit is preferable however full training in the principles of energy retrofit best practice will be provided.

• Tender management from Documents received stage to tender submission.
• Daily project task management
• Confidence to engage with Client on behalf of the team.
• Negotiating supplier packages.
• Identifying, procuring and appointing subcontract packages.
• Identifying and Agreeing variations.
• Monthly reporting on all project costs.
• Cash-flow forecasting.
• Preparing interim valuations and ensuring payment is received.
• Monthly payments to trades and suppliers.
• Project closeout and cost analysis.

• Experience of Public contracts, Council retrofit framework experience an advantage.
• Knowledge of SEAI and government grant schemes
• Strong knowledge of construction trades and materials
• Formulate and prepare monthly costs reports
• Excellent Communication
• Be proficient in Office 365, sage experience a benefit.
• Candidate must be a team orientated individual.
• Carryout take-offs where required
