Quality Manager

MAIN FUNCTION:

To oversee, manage, and develop quality systems while handling the day-to-day quality aspects of operations across the plant.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage daily quality operations across a full range of packaging in a fast-paced, food-standard environment. Review daily data, monitor trends, and implement actions as needed.
• Ensure the calibration and efficiency of all test equipment to the highest standard, using data to improve overall performance.
• Manage the implementation of all company procedures within the quality system. Continuously review and adapt the system for optimal control and efficiency.
• Oversee regular audits and lead change initiatives to enhance quality achievements. Communicate the quality strategy and ensure all personnel are trained to adhere to the highest quality standards.
• Lead and manage the quality team involved in product testing, monitoring, and data generation.
• Promote quality awareness and excellence within the broader production environment, ensuring compliance with corporate and external standards.
• Conduct thorough investigations of near misses and complaints, implementing corrective actions with all relevant departments. Maintain communication with customers regarding complaints and the actions taken, ensuring full follow-up on all issues and corrective measures to drive continuous improvement.

REPORTING:

The Quality Manager will report to the Managing Director and collaborate closely with all members of the management team.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A minimum of a degree-level qualification in Quality, Food, Engineering, or a similar relevant field.
• 4-5 years of management experience in a food-standard manufacturing environment.
• Proven experience in managing teams and applying problem-solving techniques.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, demonstrating proactivity and results-focused approach.
• Excellent presentation skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels within the organisation.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• A full, clean Irish driving licence.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
